Factory Reset

Tip: If you the password has been changed and you do not know what the new one is, press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds to restore factory defaults.

Multiplex: LLC
VPI: 8
VCI: 35

Telkom Guest Account

Telkom supplied modems will configure a guest account by default
One of these can be configured in 3rd party supplied modems with these details
- Username: guest1@telkomadsl
- Password: guest1

Verify ADSL line on "self install"

Go to https://secureapp.telkom.co.za/ADSLVERIFY_NEW/

Setting Bridging Mode

Bridging mode is required when an ADSL Modem is used with a Zslic server
Look for settings like "1483 Bridged LLC"
Netgear DG834 devices have an undocumented feature to set them into (and back from) bridging mode.
- From the modem Web interface type this in the address bar:
  http://<ip address>/setup.cgi?next_file=mode.htm
Billion Modems have a number of confusing options. The correct one is: "Pure bridged LLC"
