Control Local Data Storage

  • To control whether a copy of the cloud file is stored on the local hard drive.
    • Open File Explorer and navigate to Nextcloud folder
    • Right click on the file to store/not store
    • Choose "Nextcloud" option and select one of see SetLocalCopyofCloudStorage.png

      • "Make always available locally"
      • "Free up local space.
    • To view if file/directory is stored, or in cloud, or in being synced, note the icon on Windows File Explorer LocalCopyStatusofCloudStorage.png

  • Note there are also options during NextCloud Client Storage.

  • Windows has a feature to enable/disable local storage automatically (Not tested yet)
